Analytical Laboratory Benchtop Instruments
Instruments in laboratories are ideal for carrying out scientific experiments easily. Since the 13th century, innovation in a lot of scientific instruments has made research meticulous. All the lab instruments are systematically manufactured and experimented with to deliver exactness.
The need for scientific lab instruments arose when the scientists found it difficult to get precise results in their experiments. This problem was gradually solved with the invention and innovation in laboratory instruments. The first scientific instruments include the telescope, the microscope, electric machines, and electrometers.
The instrumentation restructuring helped scientists and researchers conduct experiments and practical's diligently, yielding the most immeasurable results.

Hot Plate with Magnetic Stirrer
A Hot Plate with Magnetic Stirrer is a tabletop instrument used to quickly spin or mix a solution with the help of a generated magnetic field. The first Magnetic Stirrer was invented by Richard Stringham of Utah in 1917. He named the stir bar as “Flea” after perceiving certain changes while stirring like the way it jumped and spun in the flask. This laboratory instrument has fixed safety circuits and it meets international safety standards. It is commonly used in chemistry and biology labs to mix the components of the solutions and write observations.
Digital Flat Stirrer
A Digital Flat Stirrer is a laboratory instrument used to mix the liquids in a Glass Container with the help of a magnetic field generated electronically using a magnetic coil. It is lightweight and easy to operate. It has a shockproof body. Due to the absence of internal moving parts, it is less noisy and highly durable.
Magnetic Digital Stirrer The Magnetic Digital Stirrer is a large aluminium moulded instrument that is used for effective stirring using a magnetic stir bar. It has high magnetic strength with an infrared sensor. This instrument is compatible for use with glassware like beakers and conical flasks.
Heating Mantle
A Heating Mantle is a laboratory instrument used to heat liquids in a flask using electricity. The first heating mantle was invented in 1972 by Michael Kort Rijk and Paul Leonard Johnson, two scientific researchers of England. The heating mantle is also known as isomantle or heating jacket is designed for advanced laboratory usage. A Round-Bottom Flask is used with the heating mantle for experimentation.
Overhead Stirrer
An Overhead Stirrer is the best laboratory instrument used for mixing large volumes or high-viscosity substances, which can not be handled by a magnetic stirrer. The overhead stirrers came into existence in the early 18th century. With the passage of time and innovation in overhead stirrers’ technology, they transformed into digital overhead stirrers. The overhead stirrer consists of a stand with a motor attached in the upper part of it. With the help of several switch controls, the motor works and generates a whirlpool in the liquid. The stirrer, also known as the anchor or blade, helps to mix viscous solutions easily within a couple of seconds.
Mini Shaker
A Mini Shaker is an instrument used to mix liquids in small vessels or tubes with the help of adaptors. This instrument can fix adaptors for assisting the use of a microtiter plate, selective tubes in soft adapters which helps in easy shaking movement of the liquid in tubes in the attachments.
Roller Mixer The Roller Mixer is an instrument used to efficiently mix, roll, and swing the samples in test tubes. This instrument is used in laboratories to mix blood samples, liquid solid suspension, and various other substances. It has a compact design that ensures rolling and swinging. It is used to prevent blood coagulation and immune precipitation.
Incubator Shaker
A combination of mixing and incubating the liquids at the same time is termed as an Incubator Shaker. It is one of the four shakers which is ideal for heating, cooling, shaking, and homogenizing liquid matter with uniform temperature distribution. Cell Cultures are generally prepared in incubator shakers, also known as Thermal Shaker. The incubator shaker is a box-like container that heats, cools, shakes, and mixes the vessel’s liquids. The largest incubator can hold a capacity of 2 liters to 115 liters. The benchtop incubator shaker at DAN Logitech is a two-in-one instrument that simultaneously stirs and incubates with the required ambient temperature. It is a thermostatically controlled instrument with a compact design which is user friendly and works on a microprocessor.
Vortex Shaker
A Vortex Shaker is a general-purpose laboratory instrument used to mix small liquids samples in test tubes or vials. It facilitates the adequate mixing of liquids. The first Vortex Shaker was developed in the mid-1950s by two brothers - Jack A. and Harold D. Kraft, well known as the Kraft Brothers. Kraft Brothers further patented this instrument on April 6, 1959. The vortex shaker is also known as a vortexer or vortex mixer. The Vortex Shaker manufactured under DAN Logitech Instruments Private Limited Company comprises Steel Alloy Base, Silicone Rubber Caps, and ABS Mainframe. It is compact and chemical attack resistant. It is an Analog instrument that works on an electric motor that is shockproof. As the motor runs, the concave rubber cap oscillates rapidly in a circulation motion. When the test tube is pressed, the movement transmits into the liquid, and a whirlpool is created.
Mini Centrifuge The Mini Centrifuge is a laboratory instrument used to mix the liquids in small centrifuge tubes at a constant speed. It is a small round structure with centrifuge tube holders and a glass cover to protect spillage. This instrument is compact and easy to use in laboratories. It has a dynamic brake system with direct driving speed.
Orbital Shaker An Orbital Shaker is an instrument used to shake the liquid in glassware in a slow circular shaking motion. It is a user-friendly instrument with a compact design used in molecular, biology, immunology, and chemistry laboratories. It is compatible for use with conical flasks, petri dishes, and different sample containers.
Thermostatic Oil Bath The Oil Bath is a high quality stainless steel material used in the laboratories to allow a chemical reaction to occur at an elevated temperature. The heated bath is a fluid placed in an open metal pot which is heated on a bunsen burner. The reaction chamber is immersed in the heated bath with a thermometer to monitor the temperature.
Thermostatic Water Bath The Lab Water Bath is a container-like equipment filled with warm water that is used to incubate the samples in water for a long time. This instrument is specifically designed for use in distilling, drying, concentrating, and heat soaking chemicals or biological products.
Fat Determination Apparatus The Fat Determination Apparatus is an instrument used for hot extraction. It is also known as the Soxhlet Extraction. It was originally designed to extract lipid from a solid material. The apparatus is user friendly and cost effective. The cooling water distribution strip ensures uniform cooling at sample positions.
Digital Soil EC Tester The Soil Tester Instrument is a unique metal surface electrode that provides fast and easy measurements for soil and hydroponics nutrients. This is used for quick testing of the soil. It has an automatic switch-off function that enables it to shut down automatically after the testing is complete.
Digital pH Tester The Digital pH Tester is an instrument used to test the pH level of the soil. It features an innovative nanotechnology metal material sensor for fast and easy pH testing of soil, fruit, meat, cheese, and other semi-solid media. It has an automatic detection of data and lock to keep automatic switch off manually.
Digital Instant N-P-K Tester N-P-K stands for Nitrogen-Phosphorus-Potassium. The N-P-K Digital Tester is an electro-chemical method used to test and measure the proportion of the nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium content in soil. This instrument uses innovative technology of ionization reduction in soil testing. It has an auto switch off in about 5 minutes.
